Amanda Hupka was born and raised a “cradle Catholic” in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After reverting to the Faith, she received her certificate of Biblical Studies from the Denver Catholic Biblical School and graduated from the Augustine Institute in Denver, Colorado with a Master of Sacred Scripture.
She worked as a librarian in Denver Catholic Schools and has been involved in numerous parish ministries, including RCIA and religious education Sacrament preparation. She currently is currently a research assistant at the Augustine Institute and facilitates a Catholic contemporary issues discussion group. She also teaches Scripture and Church history studies at her parish and writes for a number of online Catholic magazines.
Amanda lives in Morrison, Colorado near the Rocky Mountains she will probably never leave, with her husband, Jason, and their five very active children. She enjoys writing, running, cycling, and hiking, and is passionate about the Jewish roots of the Christian faith and the work of the New Evangelization of the Catholic Church within the modern culture.
