This week’s poem in the Catholic Poetry Room is by Peggy Capomaggi.
If Today…
If today you,
see the sunrise,
stay and enjoy the sight.
If today you,
hear laughter,
listen carefully to its joyful language.
If today you,
think of someone you miss,
reach out and say hello.
If today you,
walk by the water,
watch the waves breathe in and out.
If today you,
fear the unknown,
think of what you know and hold dear.
If today you,
see the birds,
enjoy their carefree flight.
If today you,
smell the air,
feel it flow through you.
If today you,
notice the flowers,
remember their odor and color.
If today you,
feel sad,
consider the blessings in your life.
If today you,
hear His voice
harden not your heart.
