catholic poetry room
This week’s poem in the Catholic Poetry Room is by Father Gerard Garrigan, OSB.

Grace

Like reaching dreams
Suddenly come to life,
The canopy of trees
Lining the still, straight drive
I’d strolled a thousand times before
Now woke me from my lifelong sleep,
Exclaiming, yes proclaiming,
“GRACE! GRACE! GRACE!”

Father Gerard Garrigan, OSB, is a Benedictine monk of Saint Louis Abbey.
