Catholic Poetry Room[1]
This week’s poem in the Catholic Poetry Room is by Gerard Garrigan, O.S.B.

St. Cecilia’s after Vespers

The others having rustled out
You alone remain
In almost darkness
Vespers candles
All snuffed out
You dawdle in
The sweet sweet hush
With Him
Who knows no time

Gerard Garrigan, O.S.B. is a Benedictine monk of Saint Louis Abbey.
