“If I only touch his garment, I shall be made well.” Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well. (Matthew 9:21-22).
Today’s Gospel reading (Matthew 9:18-26) tells the story of Jesus raising an official’s deceased daughter to life. While this story is playing out, a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years seeks and finds healing from Jesus. And just beyond where our verses end today, Jesus heals to blind men when they profess faith in His power!
Now Jesus does not promise to take away every earthly trouble and suffering. He has not promised to solve our every difficulty. But He has promised us that if we believe in Him, place our trust in Him, He will share His glory with us and never lose us!
What better motivation can there be to believe and obey the Lord!
