“I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live…” (Ezekiel 33:11)

Each of us likely has some trait, some habit or behavior that makes it difficult at times to be around us. If you are unsure what it is, you can either take the direct approach and ask others to tell you or you can go the indirect route and simply think about what it is that most irritates you in the behavior of others. I believe we most often see in others our own worst traits. We are in the Fifth Week of Lent, so hopefully we have not neglected to practice a daily general examen. By this point our general examen has revealed this sin from which we need to turn.

Whatever the sin we have discovered in our life, know that the good God has every intention to help us overcome it and root it out. He desires our conversion, not our death. With a powerful ally like God, how can we fail! Make this particular conversion your priority this week.

Remember, you are dust, and to dust you will return. Repent and believe in the Gospel.
