Chapter 17 of John’s Gospel is the High Priestly Prayer of Jesus where He prays that those who follow Him may be one, even as He and the Father are One. Such beautiful and powerful words from our God about His love for us. The Son of God lets us know in this prayer that as the Father loves the Son, so also the Father loves me… and He loves you. Let that sink in.

If the greatest truth is that God exists—God is, then the second greatest truth is that He loves us… as He loves the Son. Are you amazed? Wow!

Lord, help me to love you more each day and to be ever thankful of your love.

Remember, you are dust, and to dust you will return. Repent and believe in the Gospel.

Editor’s Note: Join us each morning during Lent for Daily Lenten Reflections.
