SEATTLE — If the Catholic Medical Association wins the battle on the frontlines in the war to preserve the culture of life, it will only happen when the rest of us better understand our faith. If we don’t understand it, then we won’t accept what doctors, scientists, theologians or philosophers tell us is true. The final speaker at the conference was Thomas E. Woods, the bestselling author of ten books including “How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization.” Woods is a senior fellow of the Ludwig von Mises Institute and a convert to the Catholic faith.
I talked to Dr. Woods for the Integrated Catholic Life and asked him why does society think you can’t be a scientist and be a person of faith?
